London for Vegans – #veganfoodporn

Being vegan isn’t easy, we know this, and finding places that cater for Vegan diets, although are becoming more increasingly common, it would be a million times easier if there were ready Vegan hotspots right? So we’ve dropped together a list of some of London’s Vegan go-to’s, as recommended by other Vegans!

1) Mildred’s, across London

Being around in Soho for near enough 30 wholesome years, Mildred’s is one of the best known and most loved vegan restaurants across London! But who said being vegan was boring? Think Sri-Lankan cuisine curries, HALLOUMI burgers (emphasis that it’s halloumi please), peanut butter cakes… its plant-based-foodporn.

2) 222 Veggie Vegan, West Kensington

Low-fat, low-salt, non-GM, organic where possible and full of flavour – basically, a vegan nutrition conscious lovers haven. With the option of an all-you-can-eat-buffet at lunchtime too for around a tenner, prepare the stretchy pants with a mix cuisine to work your way through, from African to Mediterranean and more. Oh, and they also do pink coconut water. #justsaying

3) Comptoir V, Kensal Green

Even if you’ve never heard of Kensal Green – you now have for the purposes of Comptoir V. Appealing to vegans and foodies alike, the menu is nothing but NOM – and for designers, it’s pretty nice to look at too (layout perspective). On first looks – we take instantly to the Moroccan Buddha Bowl… basically, we like the menu, so we’re suggesting it to you guys too.

4) Wulf & Lamb, Chelsea

Urban, edgy, an Instagram bloggers favourite kind of outer appearance aesthetic and by the looks of their menu, some damn good food to match. Think – burgers, pies, curries and naked burritos – in their own words, “just veg, with edge”, oh, with sides too of course. Sides with everything, always.

5) Mooshies London, Shoreditch

Burgers. The one word that sums up Mooshies – burgers. And kinda loaded nachos (which are available as sides). Available with gluten free options and with most of their menu being handmade fresh on a daily basis, we’re currently sharing Shoreditch’s biggest burger bar hotspot – you can thank us later! And if you need more convincing – head over to their Instagram page, just perhaps when you’re not feeling hungry.

6) By CHLOE, Covent Garden & Tower Hill

Instagram-worthy decors that look so pretty & amazing vegan fast food – Covent Garden & Tower Hill are the hosts of this popular USA vegan chain. But, it doesn’t mean it can’t be made British! By CHLOE also brought vegan twists to UK faves like shepards pie and fish & chips. Oh yeah, more incentive to check them out for your Friday night takeout!

7) The Vurger Co, Shoreditch

Most popularly known as the pop-up, Vurger co is now a permanent burger bar stationed in Shoreditch. Serving up milkshakes, cookie ice cream sandwiches and even the option for naked burgers, Vurger co brings about a simple menu loaded with a tonne of flavour. Oh, and by the way, their shakes can be made alcoholic – happy hours indeed!
