1. ZSL London Zoo

What is it?

London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It opened on 27 April 1828, originally to be used as a collection for scientific study. In 1831 or 1832, the animals of the Tower of London menagerie were transferred to the zoo's collection. It was eventually opened to the public in 1847.

2. River Thames

What is it?

The River Thames is a river that flows through southern England including London. At 215 miles, it is the longest river entirely in England and the second-longest in the United Kingdom, after the River Severn. It flows through Oxford, Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Windsor.

What is it?

6. SEA LIFE Aquarium

What is it?

The Sea Life London Aquarium is located on the ground floor of County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames in central London, near the London Eye. It opened in March 1997 as the London Aquarium and hosts about one million visitors each year.

7. Tamesis Dock
