Why this park is famous: Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in central London, England and one of the Royal Parks of London, famous for its Speakers' Corner. It is the city's most important green lung and where many tourists and residents come to relax and enjoy a bit of fresh air.

Why this park is famous: Known as the 'jewel in the crown', The Regent's Park covers 197 hectares. It formed part of the vast chase appropriated by Henry VIII. This park has become the home of several organisations like the Zoological Society and the Royal Botanic Society.

Why this park is famous: Richmond Park has protected status as an important habitat for wildlife and is a National Nature Reserve, London's largest Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation. Why this park is famous: St James' Park includes The Mall and Horse Guards Parade, and is surrounded by landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Whitehall. It features famous flower beds that are used at the front of Buckingham Palace that are a familiar backdrop to pageants including Trooping the Colour, as well as state visits and other ceremonial occasions.

Why this park is famous: Holland Park is the Royal Borough’s largest park. It facilities include 22.5 hectares of gardens, children’s play facilities, sports areas, a cafeteria and large areas of woodland abundant with wildlife. Holland Park also has the beautiful Kyoto Garden, a Japanese garden donated by the Chamber of Commerce of Kyoto in 1991.

Why this park is famous: Kensington Gardens, once the private gardens of Kensington Palace, are among the Royal Parks of London. The gardens are shared by the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and sit immediately to the west of Hyde Park, in western central London. The gardens cover an area of 270 acres.

Why this park is famous: Known to Londoners simply as Green Park, it is the smallest of the Royal Parks and where King Charles II is said to have walked his dogs on Constitution Hill.Most of the year, Green Park is a series of small grassy hills with groves of plane and lime trees but in Springtime it bursts into colour with the sight of around 250,000 daffodils in full bloom for several weeks.
